Description
Ugo Giovannozzi was born in Florence on September 19, 1876.
He graduated with honors in civil engineering in Turin in 1900 and immediately began working in Florence at the studio of the architect Riccardo Mazzanti.
In 1903 he was appointed councilor of the Order of Engineers and Architects of Tuscany, and three years later he was called to direct the Technical Office of the Insurance Company La Fondiaria. He soon abandoned the position, starting his freelance profession.
In 1916 he received from the State Property Agency and the Società delle Terme di Montecatini the task of urban planning and architectural design of the area relating to the spa buildings and their annexes, intervening on the Terme Leopoldine, Tettuccio, Regina, Excelsior and the pavilion of the Rinfresco spring.
