INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES
Ideal Computer websites use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by Ideal Computer, and how to manage them.
DEFINITIONS
Cookies are text files (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) for reuse during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even days later (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, based on user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as web beacons, clear GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and use of services.
In this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies simply by the term “cookies.”
TYPES OF COOKIES
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish different categories:
- Technical cookies: These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of Ideal Computer websites and are used to ensure the proper functioning of the site or, where applicable, to manage login and access to the site’s restricted functions. The duration of these cookies is strictly limited to the duration of the browsing session (they are deleted once the browser is closed).
- Analytics cookies: These cookies are used to anonymously collect and analyze site traffic and usage. These cookies, even without identifying the user, allow us, for example, to detect whether the same user returns to the site at different times. They also allow us to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. Disabling these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.
- Profiling cookies: These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or otherwise) user preferences and improve their browsing experience. Ideal Computer websites do not use this type of cookie.
THIRD PARTY COOKIES
When visiting a website, you may receive cookies from both the visited site (proprietary cookies) and from sites managed by other organizations (third parties). A notable example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by these sites and integrated into the host site’s page. The most common use of social plugins is for sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant policies, to which you are advised to refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various policies and cookie management methods are provided below.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Ideal Computer websites also include certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google. These are also third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).

Users can selectively disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out browser add-on provided by Google. To disable Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

DURATION OF COOKIES
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the user logs out. Other cookies “survive” the browser closure and are available during subsequent visits. These cookies are called persistent cookies, and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases, an expiration date is set; in other cases, the duration is unlimited.
On Ideal Computer websites, information is stored exclusively for technical purposes; it does not use persistent cookies.
However, when browsing Ideal Computer websites, you may interact with sites managed by third parties that may create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.
COOKIE MANAGEMENT
Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies using their browser settings.
Warning: Totally or partially disabling technical cookies may compromise the use of the site’s features reserved for registered users. However, public content can still be accessed even when cookies are completely disabled.
Disabling third-party cookies does not affect navigation in any way.
This setting can be adjusted specifically for different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for first-party and third-party cookies. Below are the links to the settings:
